Zinc-finger CCCH domain-containing protein 8 (ZC3H8)는 GATA3 프로모터의 전사 억제 인자로 작용합니다.
이 단백질은 GATA3 유전자의 intronic regulatory region (IRR) 내의 음성 조절 서열 5'-AGGTCTC-3'에 결합하는 서열 특이적 DNA 결합 인자입니다.
ZC3H8의 과발현은 흉선세포의 세포자멸사를 유도하며, 이는 흉선세포 항상성 조절에 관여함을 시사합니다.
