Product Specific Information

To minimize cross-reactivity, the goat anti-chicken IgY whole antibodies have been affinity-purified and cross-adsorbed against chicken serum containing non-immunoglobulin chicken serum proteins.
Cross-adsorption increases antibody specificity, resulting in higher sensitivity and less background staining.
The secondary antibody solution is passed through a column containing immobilized serum proteins from potentially cross-reactive species, capturing nonspecific antibodies and allowing highly specific ones to flow through.

Usage Tips:

Centrifuge conjugate solution briefly before use and use only the supernatant to reduce nonspecific staining.
Optimal antibody dilution should be determined empirically.

Specificity:
This antibody binds to heavy chains on chicken IgY and light chains on all chicken immunoglobulins. It does not bind non-immunoglobulin chicken serum proteins.

Anti-Chicken secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with well-characterized specificity for chicken immunoglobulins.
They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of chicken IgY targets.
Secondary antibodies enhance sensitivity through signal amplification and can be conjugated to various labels (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence).
Typically generated by immunizing host animals with pooled immunoglobulins from the target species, and further purified or modified for high specificity.
