MAU2는 cohesin complex를 DNA에 로딩하는 데 중요한 역할을 하는 단백질입니다. NIPBL/SCC2와 이합체 복합체(cohesin loading complex)를 형성하여 chromatin에 cohesin complex를 로딩하도록 매개합니다 (PubMed:28167679, PubMed:22628566). 또한 sister chromatid cohesion 및 prometaphase의 정상적인 진행에 관여합니다 (PubMed:16802858, PubMed:16682347). [UniProt]
