The Human Alpha-Synuclein [pS129] ProcartaPlex Simplex Kit measures alpha-synuclein [pS129] protein and is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits to create custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation.
When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate regardless of plex size.

기술 개요

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two highly specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein.

Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are dyed with precise proportions of red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 unique spectral signatures detectable by Luminex systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is conjugated with antibodies specific to one target protein and detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).

Unlike traditional ELISA, the capture antibody in ProcartaPlex assays is conjugated to magnetic beads, allowing reagents to remain in solution for improved multiplexing efficiency.
Detection is performed using dual-laser Luminex instruments — one laser identifies bead signature, the other quantifies RPE fluorescence proportional to protein concentration.

ProcartaPlex Simplex kits allow creation of unique multiplex panels, with over 90% of targets combinable for superior flexibility.
Available across six species: human, mouse, rat, nonhuman primate, porcine, and canine.
