Target Information
USP5 (ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 5)는 linear 및 branched multiubiquitin polymers를 절단하며, branched 형태에 대해 높은 특이성을 보입니다. 이 단백질은 unanchored Lys-48-linked polyubiquitin의 분해에 관여하고, linear 및 Lys-63-linked polyubiquitin에도 낮은 친화도로 결합합니다. USP5의 발현이 억제되면 unanchored polyubiquitin이 축적되어 p53/TP53의 축적 및 전사 활성 증가를 유도합니다. 이는 축적된 polyubiquitin이 ubiquitinated p53/TP53과 경쟁하지만 MDM2와는 경쟁하지 않기 때문입니다.
