Product Specific Information
To minimize cross-reactivity, the goat anti-mouse IgG whole antibodies have been pre cross-adsorbed against bovine, goat, rabbit, rat, and human immunoglobulins and serum. This cross-adsorption purification step enhances specificity, reducing background staining and cross-reactivity.
The secondary antibody solution is passed through column matrices containing immobilized serum proteins from potentially cross-reactive species. Only nonspecific-binding antibodies are captured, while highly specific antibodies flow through. Additional purification steps yield highly cross-adsorbed antibody preparations.
These extra purification steps are particularly beneficial in multiplex or multicolor staining experiments, or in tissues containing endogenous immunoglobulins.
Usage Note:
Centrifuge the conjugate solution briefly before use and use only the supernatant to remove potential aggregates. Optimal dilution should be determined empirically for each application.
Target Information
Anti-Mouse secondary antibodies are affinity-purified with high specificity for mouse immunoglobulins. They are useful for detection, sorting, or purification of target proteins.
Secondary antibodies provide versatility across multiple detection systems (e.g., HRP, AP, fluorescence) and greater sensitivity via signal amplification. They are typically generated by immunizing the host with pooled mouse immunoglobulins and further purified or modified (e.g., immunoaffinity chromatography, fragmentation, label conjugation) to yield highly specific reagents.
