Target Information
Transglutaminase (TGase)는 Ca²⁺ 결합을 필요로 하며, 단백질 간 e-(γ-glutamyl) lysine isopeptide 결합을 형성하여 교차결합을 촉매합니다. 포유류에서는 8종의 TGase 동형효소가 알려져 있으며, 그중 Tissue transglutaminase (tTGase, TGase 2)는 N-말단 β-sandwich, 촉매 코어, 두 개의 C-말단 β-barrel 도메인을 포함합니다. tTGase는 세포사멸, 증식, 분화, 수용체 매개 엔도사이토시스 등에 관여할 수 있으며, 알츠하이머병 뇌에서는 Ab peptide, β-amyloid precursor protein, tau 단백질 등의 중합을 통해 신경섬유 엉킴(neurofibrillary tangles) 형성과 관련이 있습니다.
