Target Information
ASXL2는 Polycomb group (PcG) 단백질로, 다단백질 복합체를 형성하여 발생 과정 전반에 걸쳐 homeotic 유전자의 전사 억제 상태를 유지하는 역할을 합니다.
이 단백질은 전사 억제를 개시하기보다는 유지하는 데 필요하며, 히스톤 메틸화를 통해 염색질의 발현 상태를 안정적으로 유지시킵니다.
또한, PPARG와 같은 핵 수용체에 의해 매개되는 전사 조절에 관여하며, PPARG의 보조활성인자로 작용하여 지방세포 분화 유도 활성을 강화합니다.
이 기능은 아세틸화 및 메틸화된 히스톤 H3의 차등적 결합을 포함하는 것으로 보입니다.
