For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments using this carrier-free antibody, an additional desalting step is recommended (Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).

Target Information

BRCA1 (breast and ovarian cancer susceptibility protein 1) is a nuclear phosphoprotein involved in maintaining genomic stability and tumor suppression. It forms part of the BRCA1-associated genome surveillance complex (BASC) and interacts with RNA polymerase II and histone deacetylase complexes.
BRCA1 plays key roles in transcription regulation, DNA double-strand break repair, and recombination.
Mutations in the BRCA1 gene account for approximately 40% of inherited breast cancers and over 80% of inherited breast and ovarian cancers.
Alternative splicing affects its localization and function, with multiple transcript variants and a related pseudogene identified on chromosome 17.
