Target Information
Enolase (2-phosphogly-cerate hydrolyase 또는 phosphopyruvate hydrates)는 glycolysis 과정에서 2-phosphoglycerate를 phosphoenolpyruvate로 변환하는 효소입니다. 세 가지 서브유닛(alpha, beta, gamma)으로 구성되어 있으며, ENO1은 두 개의 alpha 서브유닛으로 이루어진 isoform입니다.
ENO1 유전자는 렌즈 단백질인 tau-crystallin도 암호화하며, 세포 성장 조절, 저산소 내성, 알레르기 반응 등 다양한 생물학적 과정에 관여합니다. 또한 plasminogen receptor로 작용하여 fibrinolytic system에서 역할을 합니다.
ENO1은 여러 종양의 진단 마커로 사용되며, alpha/gamma heterodimer 형태에서는 심정지 후 저산소성 뇌손상의 마커로 알려져 있습니다. 또한 자궁내막증 및 암 관련 망막병증(CAR), Hashimoto encephalopathy(HE) 등의 자가면역 질환에서도 관련 항체가 검출됩니다.
