CD3 서브유닛(CD3γ, CD3δ, CD3ε, CD3ζ)은 면역글로불린 초가족의 구성원으로, 인간 염색체 11에 인접하게 위치한 유전자에 의해 암호화됩니다.
CD3 항원은 정상 말초혈 림프구의 68–82%, 흉선 세포의 65–85%에서 발현되며, B 세포나 NK 세포에서는 발현되지 않습니다.
