Product Specific Information
The TNKUSOHA monoclonal antibody recognizes human CD304 (also known as BDCA-4 and Neuropilin-1). CD304 is expressed on plasmacytoid dendritic cells in normal blood and bone marrow, as well as on T follicular helper cells in inflamed tonsils and some B-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemias. It is also found on non-hematopoietic cells including neurons, endothelial, and tumor cells.
Plasmacytoid dendritic cells play a key role in the innate immune response against viral pathogens and tumors.
- Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
- Applications Tested: Pre-titrated and validated for flow cytometry using normal human peripheral blood cells
- Recommended Usage: 5 µL (0.125 µg) per test (defined as staining a cell sample in a final volume of 100 µL; 10⁵–10⁸ cells/test recommended)

- Recommended filter setup: 685 LP mirror and 710/20 filter.

Target Information
Neuropilin-1 is a 923 amino acid membrane-bound coreceptor belonging to the neuropilin family. It contains two CUB domains, two F5/8 type C domains, and a MAM domain. Neuropilin-1 forms heterodimers with NRP2 and binds plexin (PLXNB1) to form semaphorin receptors.
It is primarily expressed in the nervous system and is involved in:
- Cardiovascular system development
- Angiogenesis
- Axon guidance and neuronal circuit formation
- Cell survival and migration
- Organogenesis outside the nervous system
Neuropilin-1 also functions as a receptor for semaphorins and VEGF, regulating VEGF-induced angiogenesis. It may play a role in advanced prostate carcinoma and breast cancer progression.
