Product Specific Information
- Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): incubate antibody for 30 min at room temperature.
- For staining of formalin-fixed tissues, heat tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 min at 95°C, then cool at room temperature for 20 min.
Target Information
TNFAIP3, also known as A20, is located in chromosome band 6q23, a region often deleted in B cell lymphomas. It functions as a tumor suppressor gene in Hodgkin and non-Hodgkin lymphomas. TNFAIP3 encodes a zinc-finger protein rapidly induced by TNF-α, inhibiting NF-κB-dependent gene expression and protecting cells from TNF-α cytotoxicity. Overexpression suppresses TLR2- and TLR4-mediated IL-8 synthesis in airway epithelial cells, acting as a negative regulator of TLR-mediated inflammatory responses. At least two isoforms of TNFAIP3 are known.
