Target Information
Orexin B is a neuropeptide involved in the regulation of food intake and sleep-wakefulness by coordinating behavioral and physiological responses of these homeostatic functions. It also plays roles in energy metabolism, autonomic function, hormonal balance, and body fluid regulation. Orexin-A binds both OX1R and OX2R with high affinity, while Orexin-B binds selectively to OX2R.
