Target Information
Leptin (OB-R) 수용체는 사이토카인 수용체 초과가족에 속하며, 포유류의 체중 항상성과 에너지 균형 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다.
지방조직에서 분비되는 호르몬 leptin이 OB-R에 결합하면 JAK/STAT 신호전달 경로를 활성화합니다.
OB-R의 여러 동형체가 보고되었으며, 이들은 길이와 신호전달 능력이 다릅니다.
OB-R의 긴 형태는 시상하부와 맥락총에서 발현되며, 포만감과 에너지 소비 조절에 관여합니다.
OB-R(db) 또는 leptin(ob) 유전자의 돌연변이는 조기 발병 비만을 유발할 수 있으며,
이로 인해 인슐린 저항성, 고혈당, 대사율 저하 등의 이상이 나타납니다.
