This antibody detects endogenous levels of total GPR132.
Target Information
GPCR G2A is a G-protein linked receptor for lysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). It may function as a sensor of LPC levels at sites of inflammation, helping to limit infiltration of immune cells and progression to autoimmune disease. It also participates in G2/M checkpoint regulation, delaying mitosis, and may help T and B cells repair DNA and control proliferation.
Expression is high in macrophages and lymphoid tissues such as spleen and thymus, but low in heart and lung. In atherosclerotic plaques, expression is observed around the lipid core and shoulder region. It is induced by DNA-damaging agents.
