Target Information
GPATCH3 is a protein coding gene involved in transcriptional regulation. It activates transcription from the CXCR4 promoter and may control neural crest cell migration related to ocular and craniofacial development. It also acts as a negative regulator of immune antiviral response via down-regulation of RIG-I-like receptor signaling and inhibition of type I interferon production. The mechanism involves interaction with mitochondrial MAVS and inhibition of MAVS assembly with downstream antiviral proteins such as TBK1 and TRAF6.
