Target Information
MCL1 (Myeloid cell leukemia-1)는 Bcl-2 패밀리에 속하며, 세포 생존 유지와 분화에 관여합니다. Isoform 1은 세포 사멸을 억제하고, Isoform 2는 촉진합니다. MCL1은 DNA 손상 유도 요인(방사선, 자외선, 알킬화 약물)에 노출 시 발현이 증가하며, Bax 증가 및 bcl-2 감소와 연관됩니다. MCL1은 미토콘드리아에 주로 존재하며, bcl-2와 함께 세포 생존을 유지합니다. 또한, Bcl-2 패밀리의 친사멸 단백질(Bim, Bak 등)을 중화하여 세포 사멸을 억제할 수 있습니다. MCL1은 다양한 세포 유형에서 발현되며, 배아 발생 및 면역세포(B, T lymphocytes)의 발달에 필수적입니다. MCL1은 MCL1L과 MCL1S 두 가지 주요 isoform으로 존재하며, MCL1S의 과발현은 세포 사멸을 촉진합니다.
