Uteroglobin은 Secretoglobin 슈퍼패밀리에 속하며, Clara cell phospholipid-binding protein으로도 알려져 있습니다. 이 단백질은 인지질 및 프로스타글란딘과 같은 소수성 분자에 결합하여 항염증 및 항종양 효과를 나타냅니다. 비섬모성 Clara 세포에서 주로 생성·분비되며, 폐 상피 및 다른 비섬모성 상피에서 발견됩니다. Secretoglobin 계열 단백질은 구조적으로 높은 보존성을 가지며, 작은 분비성 호모 또는 헤테로다이머 형태를 띱니다. Uteroglobin은 염증 매개체 및 발암물질의 격리, 세포 이동 및 침윤 억제, 혈소판 응집 및 T 세포 분화 조절에도 관여합니다.
