Target Information
CD59 (Protectin)은 18–20 kDa의 GPI-anchored 단백질로, 보체 시스템의 막공격복합체(MAC)를 억제하여 자가세포를 보호하는 주요 조절 인자입니다.
CD59는 C5b-8 복합체와 결합하여 세포막 내 용해성 공극의 형성을 억제합니다. 또한 CD2의 저친화성 리간드로 작용하여 T 세포 공동자극 및 림프구 신호전달에 관여합니다.
CD59 유전자의 돌연변이는 용혈성 빈혈, 혈전증, 뇌경색을 포함하는 CD59 결핍증을 유발할 수 있습니다. 다양한 스플라이싱 변이체가 보고되어 있습니다.
