INAVA는 말초 대식세포와 장내 myeloid-derived 세포에서 발현되며, PRR (pattern recognition receptor) 자극에 따른 신호전달, 사이토카인 분비 및 세균 제거에 필수적입니다.
NOD2, TLR2, TLR3, TLR4, TLR5, TLR7, TLR9 등 다양한 PRR 자극 시 YWHAQ/14-3-3T와 결합하여 MAP kinase 및 NF-κB 신호 복합체를 활성화시켜 하위 신호 및 사이토카인 분비를 증폭시킵니다 (PubMed:28436939).
장에서는 CYTH1 및 CYTH2의 분해를 조절하여 접착 결합 안정성을 유지하며, SCF E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase 복합체의 보조 인자로 작용할 가능성이 있습니다. CYTH1 의존성 ARF6 활성화를 억제하여 adherens junction을 안정화합니다 (PubMed:29420262).
