Target Information
LRRC19 is a member of the extracellular leucine-rich repeat superfamily, which includes proteins involved in cell adhesion, signaling, and innate immunity.
It is closely related to Toll-like receptors (TLRs), particularly TLR3.
Although LRRC19 lacks a cytoplasmic Toll/IL-1 receptor (TIR) domain, it can activate NF-kappa-B and induce proinflammatory cytokines upon stimulation with TLR3 and other TLR ligands.
This suggests LRRC19 may play a role in pathogen recognition and immune response.
Additionally, LRRC19 has been proposed as a potential biomarker for pancreatic tumor sensitivity to the Src inhibitor AZD0530.
