Target Information
Cyclin E는 세포주기 단백질군(cyclin family)에 속하며, CDK2와 결합하여 G1/S 전이 조절에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 이 단백질은 G1-S 경계에서 축적되고 S기 동안 분해됩니다. Cyclin E의 과발현은 염색체 불안정성을 유발하여 종양 발생에 기여할 수 있습니다. 또한 NPAT 단백질의 인산화에 관여하며, 이는 세포주기 조절 히스톤 유전자 발현과 pRB 결여 시 세포주기 진행에 중요한 역할을 합니다. 두 가지 주요 스플라이스 변이가 보고되었습니다.
