ITGB1 (Integrin Subunit Beta 1, beta1 integrin subunit, GPIIa, CD29)
ITGB1은 110 kDa의 세포 표면 당단백질로 다양한 세포, 특히 모든 백혈구에서 발현됩니다. ITGB1은 여러 α-체인(alpha1–alpha6)과 비공유 결합된 이합체를 형성하여 β1(VLA) 인테그린의 결합 특성을 결정합니다.
혈소판 및 다양한 세포에서 세포 부착 분자로 작용하며, 세포 외 기질 단백질과 결합하는 복합체의 구성 요소로 존재합니다.
ITGB1의 발현 감소는 종양세포의 다약제 내성과 관련이 있으며, 백혈구 이동 및 조직 내 이동 과정에서 발현이 증가합니다. 또한 염증성 장질환, 섬유소 및 콜라겐 매개 사이토카인 분비 조절 등 다양한 생리적 과정에 관여합니다.
포유류에서는 8종 이상의 β-서브유닛과 다양한 스플라이스 변형체가 존재하며, β1A와 β1D 두 주요 형태가 있습니다. β1A는 대부분의 조직에서, β1D는 심장 및 골격근에서 발현됩니다.
