Target Information
Dystroglycan은 dystrophin-glycoprotein complex의 laminin 결합 구성 요소로, 세포막 하부 세포골격과 세포외기질 간의 연결을 제공합니다.
Dystroglycan 1은 상염색체 열성 근이영양증의 돌연변이 부위와 관련된 후보 유전자입니다. Duchenne 근이영양증에서 dystroglycan 1의 현저한 감소는 세포막과 세포외기질 간의 연결 손실을 초래하여 근섬유가 괴사에 더 취약해집니다.
또한 Dystroglycan은 Schwann 세포막에서 agrin과 laminin-2의 이중 수용체로 작용합니다. 근육형 및 비근육형 isoform은 단백질 서열은 동일하나 탄수화물 구조가 다릅니다. 대체 스플라이싱으로 인해 동일한 단백질을 암호화하는 여러 전사 변이가 존재합니다.
