Target Information

The protein encoded by this gene contains RNA recognition motifs found in various RNA binding proteins, including hnRNPs and proteins involved in alternative splicing and snRNP components.
In vitro studies show that the rat homolog binds RNA homopolymers, with preference for G and U polyribonucleotides.
This gene is part of a cluster on chromosome Xp11.23, with its 3′ end located within 20 kb upstream of UBE1. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been identified.
