Target Information
Iduronate-2-sulfatase는 heparan sulfate 및 dermatan sulfate의 리소좀 분해에 필수적인 효소입니다. 이 X-염색체 유전자에 돌연변이가 발생하면 효소 결핍으로 인해 성연관 Mucopolysaccharidosis Type II (Hunter Syndrome)가 유발됩니다.
Iduronate-2-sulfatase는 인간 arylsulfatases A, B, C 및 glucosamine-6-sulfatase와 높은 서열 유사성을 가지며, 다양한 단백질 아이소폼을 암호화하는 여러 대체 스플라이싱 전사 변이체가 보고되었습니다.
