Target Information
HUNK (Hormonally Up-regulated Neu-associated Kinase) is a serine/threonine kinase belonging to the MAP kinase family, essential for mammary tumor metastasis. Deletion of HUNK in mice does not affect viability, fertility, or tumor development, and it is dispensable for murine development. HUNK participates in vesicular transport and regulates endocytosis through interaction with rabaptin-5, influencing mammary gland changes during pregnancy. Expression has been observed in mouse brain, breast, embryo, and fetus, as well as in human tissue libraries including normal ear.
