Product Specific Information

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen. The purity is >95% (by SDS-PAGE).

Target Information

Multimerin-1 (MMRN1), also known as EMILIN-4 or ECM (endothelial cell multimerin), is a 1,228 amino acid secreted protein containing one C1q domain, one EMI domain, and one EGF-like domain. It is synthesized in megakaryocytes and endothelial cells and found in liver, lung, and placenta. Multimerin-1 forms a multimeric structure with disulfide-linked multimers and functions as a carrier protein for platelet factor V, aiding in its stabilization and storage in platelets. It also acts as a ligand for select integrins, contributing to extracellular matrix adhesion. Mutations causing Multimerin-1 deficiency are associated with autosomal dominant bleeding disorders due to platelet factor malfunction. Multiple isoforms exist due to alternative splicing.

For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures. Not for resale without express authorization.
