Reconstitute the lyophilized antibody with deionized water (or equivalent) to a final concentration of 0.5 mg/mL.
Rituximab was approved for medical use in 1997 and is listed on the World Health Organization’s List of Essential Medicines. It is used to treat various autoimmune diseases and cancers, including non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, chronic lymphocytic leukemia, rheumatoid arthritis, idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura, pemphigus vulgaris, and myasthenia gravis. Rituximab is a chimeric monoclonal antibody against the protein CD20 found on B cells; binding to CD20 induces cell death.
