The Human SARS-CoV-2 Spike SA (B.1.351) Ig Total Simplex ProcartaPlex Kit measures anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike antibodies specific for the SARS-CoV-2 variant Lineage B.1.351 in serum and plasma.
The detector antibody is an immunoglobulin (Ig) total antibody directly conjugated to phycoerythrin (PE) that cross-reacts with all Ig (IgG, IgM, and IgA) in serum and plasma.

This kit is designed to be combinable with other Simplex kits from the Coronavirus Panel, allowing creation of custom multiplex panels utilizing Luminex xMAP technology for protein detection and quantitation. When combining multiple Simplex kits, only one buffer kit (sold separately) is needed per assay plate.

ProcartaPlex immunoassays are based on sandwich ELISA principles, using two specific antibodies binding to different epitopes of one protein to quantitate up to 80 protein targets simultaneously (FLEXMAP 3D or Luminex 200) and up to 50 targets (MAGPIX).
Requires as little as 25 μL of plasma or serum, or 50 μL of cell culture supernatant, and delivers analyzed results within four hours.

기술 개요

Luminex MagPlex superparamagnetic microsphere beads are dyed with red and infrared fluorophores to create 100 spectrally unique bead signatures identifiable by Luminex detection systems (Luminex 200, FLEXMAP 3D, MAGPIX).
Each bead is coated with antibodies specific for a single target protein. Bound proteins are detected using biotinylated antibodies and streptavidin–R-phycoerythrin (RPE).
Unlike traditional ELISA, capture antibodies are conjugated to magnetic beads rather than adsorbed to microplate wells, allowing free-floating reactions and multiplexing efficiency.

ProcartaPlex multiplex assays can profile up to 80 times more target proteins using less sample volume than traditional ELISA, with similar assay time.
