This antibody detects endogenous levels of total OLFM3 protein.
Target Information
OLFM3 (olfactomedin 3), also known as NOE3, is a 478-amino-acid protein that interacts with myocilin. Myocilin is an extracellular protein involved in the actomyosin system and regulation of intraocular pressure. OLFM3 is a secreted protein containing an olfactomedin-like (OLF) domain, a ~260 amino acid motif common in secreted glycoproteins. It localizes to the Golgi apparatus and is highly expressed in eye and brain tissues. Mutations in the OLFM3 gene may be associated with severe glaucoma characterized by increased intraocular pressure and vision loss.
