RCBTB2는 RCC1-related GEF 패밀리에 속하는 단백질로, 아미노산 서열의 N-말단 절반은 염색체 응축 조절인자 RCC1과 유사성을 보여 Ras 관련 GTPase Ran의 구아닌 뉴클레오타이드 교환 인자(GEF)로 작용합니다.
