Target Information
eIF4E는 번역 효율 향상, 스플라이싱, mRNA 안정성, RNA 핵 내 수출 등 다양한 세포 과정에 관여합니다. 모든 진핵세포 mRNA는 5' 말단에 7-methylguanosine cap 구조(m7GpppX)를 가지고 있으며, eIF4E는 이 캡 구조에 리보솜을 유도하는 번역 개시 인자입니다. eIF4E는 24-kDa 폴리펩타이드로 자유형과 EIF4F 복합체 형태로 존재하며, EIF4F의 다른 구성 요소로는 ATPase 및 RNA helicase 활성을 가진 50-kDa EIF4A와 220-kDa EIF4G가 있습니다.
