Product Specific Information
This hIL33Rcap monoclonal antibody recognizes human IL-33R (ST2). It binds both membrane-bound (ST2L) and soluble (ST2S) forms and is suitable for surface and intracellular staining.
This clone is also used as a capture antibody in the IL-33R (ST2) Human ProcartaPlex™ Simplex Kit (Product # EPX010-12231-901).
Applications Reported: Flow cytometric analysis
Applications Tested: Pre-diluted and tested on LAD2 cells. Recommended use: 5 µL (0.25 µg)/test (100 µL final volume).
Excitation: 488–561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue, Green, Yellow-Green.
Target Information
IL-33R (ST2) is a receptor for IL-33 and a member of the IL-1 receptor family. Its extracellular domain contains three Ig-like domains that interact with IL-1RAcP and IL-33.
IL-33 binding activates NF-κB and MAPK pathways, inducing cytokine release (IL-5, IL-6, IL-8, IL-13).
Two isoforms exist: ST2L (membrane-bound) and ST2S (soluble). Soluble forms may act as decoys to dampen signaling.
Expression is mainly in mast cells, basophils, and eosinophils; in mice, also on ILC2 and Th2 cells.
IL-33R signaling is associated with immune conditions such as allergies, arthritis, atherosclerosis, and sepsis.
