Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to obtain a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
MEF2C is a transcription activator that binds specifically to the MEF2 element in the regulatory regions of many muscle-specific genes. It controls cardiac morphogenesis and myogenesis and is involved in vascular development. MEF2C plays an essential role in hippocampal-dependent learning and memory, neuronal development, and synaptic regulation. It is also required for normal megakaryocyte and platelet development, B-cell survival and proliferation, and proper immune responses. Isoforms 3 and 4, which lack the repressor domain, exhibit higher activity than isoforms 1 and 2.
