Target Information
RORA (Retinoic acid receptor-related orphan receptor alpha) is a nuclear receptor belonging to the NR1 subfamily of nuclear hormone receptors. It binds as a monomer or homodimer to retinoic acid response elements to regulate gene expression and control cell function. RORA interacts with NM23-2, NM23-1, CDK7, NCOA3, and NCOA6 coactivators, and is expressed in mesenchymal stem cells derived from bone marrow, influencing bone matrix modulation. It is widely expressed in most tissues. Chromosomal aberrations involving RORA may contribute to acute promyelocytic leukemia (APL).
