FUS/TLS (fused in sarcoma) is involved in multiple cellular processes and associated with several diseases. It binds DNA (single or double strand) and acts as a recognition site for transcription factors. Dysregulation of FUS, which is linked to liposarcoma, lipoma, leukemia, and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), can lead to abnormal RNA-binding and neuronal pathologies.
