Target Information
Peroxiredoxin (Prx)는 세포 증식, 분화, 세포사멸과 관련된 퍼옥시다아제 계열 단백질군입니다. 약 50여 개의 단백질로 구성되어 있으며, 활성 부위 시스테인 잔기를 포함하고 티올 특이적 항산화 활성을 가집니다.
포유류 Prx는 6가지 멤버(typical 2-Cys, atypical 2-Cys, 1-Cys Prx)로 구성되며, 대부분 thioredoxin, thioredoxin reductase, NADPH를 이용하는 thioredoxin-dependent peroxidase (TPx) 활성을 가집니다.
분자량은 약 20–30 kDa이며, 세포 내 위치는 다양합니다. Prx I, II, VI는 세포질, Prx III는 미토콘드리아, Prx IV는 ER 및 분비계, Prx V는 peroxisome, 미토콘드리아, 세포질에 분포합니다.
