Target Information
Defender of cell death 1 (DAD1)는 세포 사멸(programmed cell death)의 음성 조절자로 처음 발견되었으며, 포유류 oligosaccharyltransferase 복합체의 하위 단위로 기능과 구조적 안정성에 필수적입니다. DAD1 결핍 마우스는 비정상적인 N-linked 당단백질을 발현하며, 세포 사멸 관련 배아 사망률이 증가합니다. 또한 일부 인간 간세포암종에서 DAD1 mRNA의 과발현이 관찰되어 발암 과정에도 관련될 수 있습니다. DAD1은 IAP(inhibitor of apoptosis proteins) 계열과 관련이 없으며 BIR(baculoviral IAP repeat) 도메인을 포함하지 않습니다.
