Target Information
STK39 (also known as STLK3) participates in the cellular stress response pathway. It is activated under hypotonic stress, leading to phosphorylation of cation-chloride-coupled co-transporters. STK39 activates the p38 MAP kinase pathway, with interaction levels decreasing during cellular stress. It serves as an intermediate in stress response and is an independent risk factor for hypertension in men, with intragenic SNPs influencing blood pressure regulation.
