Target Information
TTK is a serine/threonine kinase closely related to SPK1, PIM1, and CDC2 kinases. It is a dual-specificity kinase capable of phosphorylating tyrosine as well. The enzyme complex comprises a catalytic subunit and a constant regulatory subunit that interacts with various regulatory B subunits. The constant regulatory subunit A acts as a scaffold for assembly. TTK encodes the alpha isoform of the regulatory subunit A, and alternatively spliced transcript variants have been reported.
