Target Information
CD178 (Fas ligand, FasL)은 type-II 막 단백질로, N-말단은 세포질에, C-말단은 세포외 공간에 존재합니다. 수용체 FasR은 TNF 및 NGF 수용체 계열에 속하는 type-I 막 단백질입니다.
CD178은 FasR과 결합하여 세포자멸사(apoptosis)를 유도하며, 막 결합형(45 kDa)과 가용형(26 kDa)으로 존재할 수 있습니다. 가용형 단백질은 metalloproteinase에 의해 절단되어 세포에서 방출됩니다.
CD178은 활성화된 T 림프구 및 NK 세포에서 주로 발현되며, 고환, 눈 등 면역 특권 부위와 흉선, 간, 난소, 폐, 심장, 신장 등에서도 발현이 보고되었습니다.
CD178/Fas 시스템은 AIDS, 간염, 암 등 다양한 질환에서 중요한 역할을 하며, 항바이러스 면역 반응과 염증성 질환 조절에 관여합니다.
