Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform additional desalting using Zeba Spin Desalting Columns (7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
SETD7 is a histone methyltransferase that specifically monomethylates Lys-4 of histone H3, serving as a tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation.
It plays a central role in activating genes such as collagenase and insulin.
SETD7 also methylates non-histone proteins including p53/TP53, TAF10, and possibly TAF7.
Monomethylation of Lys-189 of TAF10 enhances its affinity for RNA polymerase II, while methylation of Lys-372 of p53 stabilizes and enhances p53-mediated transcriptional activation.
