Target Information
MCM2 (Mini chromosome maintenance protein 2) is involved in regulating DNA replication. MCM2 (also known as CDCL1, mitotin, and BM28) is a human nuclear protein crucial for cell cycle progression, particularly during the onset of DNA replication and cell division. It is similar to early S-phase proteins and mapped to chromosome 3q21. CDCL1 has been considered a potential oncogene affected by chromosomal breaks in acute myeloid leukemia (AML).
