Product Specific Information
For reconstitution, add 100 µL of distilled water to achieve a final antibody concentration of approximately 1 mg/mL.
For conjugation experiments, perform an additional desalting step (recommended: Zeba Spin Desalting Columns, 7K MWCO, 0.5 mL, Product #89882).
Target Information
The inhibitor of apoptosis (IAP) family regulates programmed cell death triggered by various stimuli. All IAPs possess at least one baculovirus IAP repeat (BIR) domain essential for anti-apoptotic activity.
Livin (also known as ML-IAP) is a human IAP family member containing a single BIR domain and a C-terminal RING finger domain.
Two splicing variants exist (298 and 280 amino acids), both inhibiting TNFα-induced apoptosis in Jurkat cells. Livin expression is low in adult tissues but higher in developmental tissues and various cancer cells.
