Target Information
This gene encodes a protein belonging to a large protein family carrying the LIM domain, a cysteine-rich zinc-binding domain. The encoded protein may function as a transcriptional regulator and is involved in forebrain differentiation and development. In mice, it regulates precursor cell proliferation and neuronal differentiation and migration during hippocampal development, contributing to learning and motor functions in adults.
