Target Information
FGF19(Fibroblast Growth Factor 19)는 인간의 FGF19 유전자에 의해 암호화된 단백질로, fibroblast growth factor(FGF) 패밀리에 속합니다. 이 유전자는 염색체 11q13.3에 위치하며, 216개의 아미노산으로 구성된 단백질은 시그널 서열과 FGF 패밀리에서 보존된 2개의 시스테인 잔기를 포함합니다.
FGF19는 태아 뇌 조직에서만 발현되며, Wnt-8c와의 상호작용을 통해 내이 발달을 유도합니다. 또한 간에서 단백질 및 글리코겐 합성을 촉진하지만 지방 합성은 유도하지 않습니다. 이러한 효과는 인슐린 또는 Akt 경로와 무관하게 MAPK 신호 경로를 통해 매개됩니다.
마우스의 상동 단백질은 FGF15로, 약 50%의 아미노산 서열 유사성을 가지며 유사한 기능을 수행합니다. 두 단백질은 종종 FGF15/19로 함께 언급됩니다.
