Target Information
LBP (Lipopolysaccharide-binding protein)는 그람음성 세균 감염 시 급성 면역 반응에 관여합니다. 그람음성 세균의 외막에는 LPS(lipopolysaccharide)가 존재하며, LBP는 BPI(bactericidal permeability-increasing protein)와 함께 LPS에 결합하고 CD14 수용체와 상호작용합니다. 이 단백질은 BPI, CETP, PLTP 등과 구조적·기능적으로 관련된 단백질군에 속하며, 인간의 20번 염색체에서 BPI 유전자 바로 아래 위치합니다.
