Immunohistochemistry (PFA fixed): Incubate antibody for 30 minutes at room temperature.
Staining of formalin-fixed tissues requires heating tissue sections in 10 mM Tris with 1 mM EDTA (pH 9.0) for 45 minutes at 95°C, followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

Target Information

Coagulation factor VII is a vitamin K-dependent factor essential for hemostasis. This factor circulates in the blood in a zymogen form and is converted to an active form by factor IXa, factor Xa, factor XIIa, or thrombin through minor proteolysis.
Upon activation, the factor VII forms a heavy chain containing a catalytic domain and a light chain containing two EGF-like domains, held together by a disulfide bond.
In the presence of factor III and calcium ions, the activated factor further activates the coagulation cascade by converting factor IX to factor IXa and/or factor X to factor Xa.
Defects in F7 production can cause coagulopathy.
